Results of the 6th Annual Dragonfly Transplant Fund Golf Outing
Our Dragonfly steering committee was thrilled to present the check to the University of Iowa for a total amount of $48,915.00 raised at the 6th Annual Dragonfly Transplant Fund Golf Outing & Fundraiser! We were thrilled to host Alli Ingman with the University of Iowa Center for Advancement and Dr. Alan Reed with the UIHC Organ Transplant Center in attendance for the check presentation.

With these funds, the Dragonfly Transplant Fund will be continuing to serve transplant patients, their families, and their caregivers. Dragonfly Transplant Fund has the ability to move forward with offering patients and caregivers the Bread Garden Market gift cards during their visits to the UIHC Organ Transplant Center and also the patient discharge bags.
In 2024, we hope to add the following to our Dragonfly community outreach efforts:
Living donor recognition t-shirts to all living donors after their gift of life
Scales for pediatric transplant patients after their transplant procedures
Bug repellant that will be added to patient discharge bags
Dragonfly Transplant Fund stickers to share with patients, families, and UIHC staff as appropriate
We would like to extend a very special thank you to our golf outing sponsors, our volunteers, and our golfers for supporting the Dragonfly Transplant Fund golf outing in 2023. Without you, the Dragonfly would not be a part of so many lives across Iowa. Our supporters are the heart of the Dragonfly Transplant Fund, and we look forward to continuing forward with our mission to enhance the need for organ and tissue donor awareness and to help support transplant patients and their families and caregivers during the transplant experience.
Additionally, we thank the doctors, nurses, staff, and volunteers at the UIHC Organ Transplant Center. Each and every day, they are doing work that brings new life to so many individuals. We are proud to support the work they do as we carry on with the philanthropic efforts of the Dragonfly Transplant Fund.
